Google Labs Playground

Welcome to Google labs from a different angle. This is the part on the internet that bears absolutely no relation to actually having a Google labs project realized or even noticed, this is a playful look at what i would do if i had free reign over the whole Labs project at Mountain View.

Today i had a brain fart and decided that i would like to begin several projects, i am going to skip by all the pre project meetings and go straight to the “right my insightful engineers, this is what i want you to build” route.

Straight to it then.

Google Messageboard
This my engineers, will be developed for our main search product, your simple brief is to review the feedback we are receiving from Googlers with regards to our terms and conditions and actually warn SEO`s, SEM`s and your everyday webmasters that optimizing for a term or even just searching for a term that contravenes our T`s and c`s will bring up a sticky message at the top of the search results.

Adsense Support
For this one, i would like you to set up a system where your everyday Adsense advertiser has the opportunity to provide support to those that are getting to know the product and feedback any serious technical issues to a real human instead of an automated email response that does not for example, fix issues with payments being put on hold because you entered the wrong pin number, We have nearly 20,000 employees worldwide, surely one of those could figure out a way to give a real response.

Google Compliance Generator
This one is going to be tricky, but we have the brightest minds on the planet working for us. I would like webmasters to be given the opportunity to run their entire sites code through a markup engine that will spit out compliance from the other end. The markup will be specified by the webmaster from a simple drop down then they will enter their url will which will spit out the code at the other end.

Google SEO Checker
This one will be a huge hit, we are giving nothing away about how we measure a website for search, we are simply going to accept one page at a time that will let SEO`s and SEM`s know whether a page is drawing a negative for ranking in the Search Results. They specify the URL of a page, we will measure it using our algorithm and simply tell the SEO, yes it`s got negative factors.
