Are You a LinkHater?

Flying with SEO
SEO techniques have been regurgitated time and time again, the same old stuff spouted by different people. it is not often i write about SEO unless i have got something new to add.
So whats new?
Instead of going into great detail about a million SEO techniques i am going to cover one aspect of how to improve your rankings using ethical SEO methods that are within Googles Search Engine guidelines.
It`s all about what you say!
Since the blogging platform became a plague of hungry authors spreading the gospel about all and everything they could think of, it opened up a brand new channel to those SEO`s sharp enough to get the idea that a link here and a link there would help improve a sites backlinks, that`s nothing new. it is also common knowledge that a link within the comments section of websites offering the chance to leave feedback on a product, article or any other content would also help to elevate a websites backlinks and in turn the target keywords you were using for your website all of a sudden improve your search engine visibility, that`s nothing new either.
So what`s new for heavens sake?
New might be the wrong word to use, erm.. how about Link Love! link love is not new either, good editorial content will easily receive a bookmark, a link back or if you are one of the lucky few a whole review of your product or services placed within a high ranking site.
So it`s link Love your talking about then?
Yes Link Love, we all want it, we all get it to different degrees of success, so what about those nasty people that give the link but hide it from the search engines with the “NOFOLLOW” tag? Well i should say to those people that what you are actually doing is preventing the spread of Link Love and you are a link hater.
Linking to a website because you want your visitors to appreciate content from another source is fine, your visitors will go ahead and visit it anyway, but hoarding the potential PR for your own site is pretty stupid in the long run because it simply shows the algorithm of the search bots that you may have a billion backlinks and a PageRank of 10 but you link to very little outside of your own content that warrants actually ranking you as a reliable source of information.
Hmmm, am i a Link Hater?
If you are using “NOFOLLOW” for your editorial content then yes you are. If you are using “NOFOLLOW” for links in that little “URL” field within your comments then again, yes you are.
If you are one of those people i first mentioned that crave feedback even if it is by way of comments then you need to get rid of that nofollow tag quick sharp, it discourages related content authors from leaving comments simply because they get nothing in return.
If you are worried about comment spam then you really need to get rid of the commenting system all together because if you are not capable of deciding on whether the latest comment added to your content is spam or not, then you really should not be reading this at all.
It really is as simple as that. So how do i know if i am using “nofollow” within my website?
There is a simple add on for Firefox you can get for free from Quirk that fits neatly into the bottom of your browser within the status bar and a simple right click after installation, there are quite a few tools within it that may interest you but the one we are after for this nofollow is quite prominent and simply says “Highlight Nofollow Links”, so the next time you feel compelled to add a comment to a website consider this “What do i get in return?”
This article is only one stone on the beach of seo and is not the be all and end all, it is quite simply an indicator to help your seo efforts and will help improve your targeted search results as part of a linkorie controlled diet.

You are right on how many users leave comments because they expect something in return; a reply to the post, being accepted as a comment, or basically a non-nofollow link back.
How ironic Emerson that i am having trouble with the Commentluv plugin lol
I’m no Link Hater, and going back making sure it’s a Do Follow Blog! Thanks for info. Friend!
