Neil Patel the basics nailed on
Neil infamously gave a blogger a public tanning (2007) by simply applying basic SEO to a fairly innocous blog to demonstrate how ethical SEO technique can improve traffic by 10 to 20% within 30 days.
It made me laugh no end, its great to see that Neil stood up to be counted, literally and i applaud him for his stance, Neil welcome to the SEO/SEM experts of SEOBegin.com.

My Home at Olive 8 - Thu, 03 Dec 2009
It's been a while since I posted and updated you about my life. For the past year or so I have been living in Seattle and most recently, I just bought a place at Olive 8 by Hyatt. I know the name of the building name sounds weird, but it's that way because it is a hotel.
Here are some pictures of what it looks like:
The building

Lobby

Restaurant

Game room

Indoor pool

Living room

Bedroom

Bathroom

Kitchen

The view

In addition to the pictures above, the hotel offers me (as a condo owner) a lot of cool amenities, such as valet parking (I am bad at parking), room service (I hate cooking), maid service (I don't know how to clean), and use of their state of the art gym.
I know you are probably wondering how I could afford such a nice place... well there are 2 main reasons:
- Olive 8 has some great deals. So if you want to live there with me, Andy and a few other awesome .com guys, you should hit them up.
- I have some great sponsors. Without them, I would have never been able to pimp out my place. They paid for everything from my bedroom furniture to my bathroom TV.
And for those of you who are wondering who sponsored my place, well it was these 14 great companies: Online Poker, Nerdy Shirts, Shoemoney Capital, Revenue Enhancement Group, Train Signal, Chitika, Get Ads, Globalizer Network, Device Doctor, Driver Library, Buddy TV, John Chow, Five Q Enterprises, Big Door Media.
The Micropreneur Academy - Sun, 19 Jul 2009
My friend Rob, just luanched the The Micropreneur Academy. Here is a bit more information on it.
The Micropreneur Academy, an online learning environment for solo software entrepreneurs, is opening its doors to new enrollments soon. Launched in April by noted software blogger and entrepreneur Rob Walling of Software by Rob, the Academy takes developers and entrepreneurs through the process of building and launching a software product (including web applications) with a focus on online marketing topics such as blogging, buzz marketing, social media marketing, and search engine marketing.
Academy members support one another through the private forums and a members-only LinkedIn group and they follow a proven blueprint for finding a profitable niche, building a product, launching, marketing, and supporting it as a one-person software company. Many current members have launched or are launching their own product/web app in the first few months.
Look for a review of the Academy in Bob Walsh's upcoming book, The Web Startup Success Guide.
Want to be a winner? Join the Winners Circle! - Mon, 06 Jul 2009
Gyutae Park from Winning the Webjust launched a new membership site called Winners Circle. I don't normally post about stuff like this but I wanted to mention it because I think it has a lot to offer marketers of all levels.

Winners Circle is unique in that it uses real case studies and specific examples to show what works and what doesn't. Gyutae isn't claiming to be a super guru or anything like that but he's good at analyzing successful sites and breaking down step-by-step how they reached the point they're at today. For example, the first case study included shows how a small site beat out huge companies like Toshiba and Wal-Mart in Google for a very competitive keyword. It's very interesting analysis that reveals some little-known link building strategies as well. I recommend you check it out - you can't find this sort of information anywhere else.
Winners Circle features weekly case studies, bi-weekly interviews, and some other bonus material. The program costs $47/month but the first 200 get in for $27/month and the first 50 get a free personal site audit from Gyutae.
Join Winners Circle and give it a try.
